The Saree
The five meter long tapestry
draped around your form
brings in divinity in you alive
like rain brings in life in the nature,
there I discover gorgeous simplicity
in all her grandeur and majesty
when I feel in the whispers of my thoughts
you come silently walking from behind
into my thoughts enveloping my being
to enliven and enrich my soul
its a new dimension called bliss.
Its like your estounding care and warm embrace
under the benign shadow of your veil and pallu
nursing tenderly the sad part of my life
i am bathed in divine fragrance of yours.
It is this gift you give to those you hold close
Your Saree keep on changing it's texture and hues,
but what remain is your Compassion
to feed the forelorn and parched souls
akin to what rain does to scorching earth.
